It's been a while....

Hello all.....

It's been a while. I don't think I've posted since probably July sometime.

Lifes just been busy and I haven't really wanted to blog about anything.

Lifes ok, I guess. Same old same old. Nothing really new. With me, it seems like nothing ever is. Thats just to me though.

I'm alive. That's good. I'm healthy(for the most part). That's good. I have a job(not the greatest, I know). That's good.

Am I content? No. Do I want more? yes. Do I need more? yes!

I don't know. One of these days somethings gonna give and things will change. Will it be good change? I don't know. Will it be a bad change? I don't know. I just know things at some point are going to have to give. Sometimes I do wish I was in a position to just up and move somewhere far away. Start fresh. Be a different person. Go by Will instead of Billy. Change like that. Erase everything like an etch-a-sketch and start a new picture. I'm not in a position to do that though. I'm standing in front of Mount Everest wanting to climb it but I'm at the base of the mountain. And man, it's one hell of a climb to the top.

I'm too nice. I'm way too nice. I've got a problem with that. I've always wanted to feel accepted by people. I let people run all over me. Instead of voicing my opinion about it, I just turn the other cheek and stay quiet. I let people tell me things and then become a forgotten part of their lives. Instead of saying "Hey I'm here!", I just stay quiet and hope that they notice me. I'm just too nice to them. Their lives go on. They find other people to be more interested in and spend time with. I become just another person in the background. I stay quiet. I want people to want to come to me. I don't want to be bothersome and go to them. I think it's just the way I was raised. Be nice to people. The Golden Rule. Today at Panera Bread, I was getting a drink. An older lady came by and was using a walker and was trying to refill her drink. She was having a tough time so I offered to help her. She just snarled at me and basically said she didn't want my pity. I just said o...k.... and went about my lunch. I had tried to help someone and do the right thing and I still came out feeling like crap. That's happens often to me though. I try to be the nice guy and help others out. I try and make others happy. Then life in a way says, "For every good deed, I'm gonna punch you in the gut." It's just a sucky feeling to have. I just want everyone to be happy. I hate seeing people in pain or being miserable. It's just in my nature to want to do the right things for people and try to bring a bright spot to someones day. Just know that I want nothing but the best for you all. I want every one of you to wake up every morning and look forward to the day. If you're down and out, you can call me and I will be there asap to help you out. I'm here.

Enough about me for now....lets go over some stuff..... :)

Election- No. I'm not voting for Obama. No way. No how. I'm sorry but I'm not gonna drink the Kool Aid with the rest of the cool kids. Do I like McCain? Not particularly. I think he and Joe Biden are both too Washington for me. I do consider myself a conservative and I do like Sarah Palin. I'm actually pretty impressed with her from a first impression stand point. Is she the most qualified? Thats a matter of opinion. Obama's not entirely qualified either. I think Obama and Palin are both great people and I know both want whats best for America. I just believe in Palin's beliefs more than Obama. I like the idea of someone whos never been in Washington going for it. I do think Obama will win the election. I think too many people are going to vote for Obama because its the popular choice. I just ask everyone that votes to just understand the issues before you vote. Don't vote for Obama because Kanye or Oprah or because your friends are doing it. Vice versa with McCain.

TV- I can't wait for the fall tv season to start. I love that time of year! I've already got my weekly schedule planned out.

Music- Hopefully, I'm going to go see The Swell Season at the Ryman in September. I'm excited about it! Liam Finn is coming to the Mercy Lounge on September 9. That should be a great show if I can get anyone to go with me. I am still excited about Bonnaroo next year. Yes, I had that much fun at this years.

Movies-There isn't too much out right now to be excited about. Most everything new coming out is just bleh...Entertaining stuff but not great stuff. The House Bunny and Death Race are both good but neither are memorable for anything.
A few movies that I am looking forward to.....
Burn After Reading- New Coen Brothers!
Righteous Kill- De Niro and Pacino. Duh.
Appaloosa- I love a good western. Not crazy about old squinty eyes Renee Zellweger though.
Eagle Eye- Looks fun
Max Payne- Have you seen the trailer? Freaking cool! BUT, it might too cool to be true.
Body of Lies- Russell Crowe, Leo DiCaprio, and Ridley Scott. Cool Beans.
Quantum of Solace- New James Bond!
