Baraka
Wednesday, January 31, 2007
I saw most of this movie below on INHD. It's called Baraka and the cinematography is absolutely amazing. The film has no plot. It's just a collection of images from around the world. Some of it is really disturbing yet its facinating. It's amazing to see and try and understand how some people live in this world. The YouTube clip just doesn't do this film justice. It originally was an IMAX film. After I watched it on tv, I bought it from Amazon. The clip is close to 10 minutes long, but check out the chick factory and the creepy guy at the end.
In honor of Vista's release
Nuff' said.
On a non Vista related note...
This one
reminds me of me after they announced the iPhone.
The Departed
WHA HMM?!??!
Making a sequel to The Departed might not be a good thing...
If you haven't seen The Departed by the way, go see it. It is great.
Sorry I haven't posted for a while...

Brandon was right, I have spent more time with my new tv and XBOX 360 than anything else. Family Guy continues to get better and better every week. These scenes last night had me laughing so hard. Especially the first one....

GOES TO...!
Introducing iPhone
Wednesday, January 10, 2007
Go here,
and check out the iPhone from Apple. What a sweet cell phone! And I'm not just saying it because I like Macs, but because just look at its features! Without set buttons, the apps that could be created for this device could be insane. I definitely want to get one when my Sprint contract runs out in April or May, but....I do have some concerns. I have read a couple of online reviews like
this one,
but I still want to read some reviews once it gets closer to the ship date. I'm hoping that Cingular will offer some sort of data usage deal. The amount of time and data you will spend with this thing will definitely have to call for an unlimited data plan or some other large data plan. I do think it would be cool if they offered a data only deal. Some people might want to use it more as a device than the phone. Cingular probably won't offer any deal though. I hope the browser will support some video format. Can you imagine the time you can waste on a portable YouTube? I know Verizon has a phone with YouTube capability but that phone sucks. Will it play Quicktime movies? Will it be scratch resistant? After a year, is it going to look like one big smudge? There are just so many small questions that remain to be answered. I have already recieved some flak from some people about wanting to buy an expensive phone, but I like to have good phone that will last and will be something I can use. I don't mind spending a lot for a phone, especially if it does everything this phone can and will. In closing, I do think that it would have been cool if they had just released a standard touchscreen widescreen iPod. Who knows?! I do know that Steve Jobs and Apple have made an amazing first impression(at least on me) and I will really have a hard time deciding if this is an investment for me.
What if The Simpsons and Futurama looked like anime?

I saw these on Digg. I'm not a huge fan of anime by any means, but these are really really cool!

Just in case anyone is lost (no pun intended) when it comes to tv shows return dates, here's a helpful list I found on aintitcool.com. If your show isn't listed, head over to aintitcool and look at the rest of the list. Most everything else is just filler stuff aka. shows you might watch if your bored. I didn't see Scrubs on the list, so thats why it's not included.

Apprentice (NBC) Jan. 7
Battlestar Galactica (SciFi) Jan. 21
Extras (HBO) Jan. 14
Greys Anatomy (ABC) Jan. 4
Heroes (NBC) Jan. 22
Lost (ABC) Feb. 7
The Office (NBC) Jan. 4
Prison Break (Fox) Jan. 29
Saturday Night Live (NBC) Jan. 13
Smallville (The CW) Jan. 11
Studio 60 (NBC) Jan. 22
