The Graysons? yeeaahhh......

Hmmmm.....
This is some interesting news....

On one hand....I hate the character of Robin. I think it worked fine back in the day and back on the old Adam West series, but not anymore. I think the character and his background is just goofy. Yes, I know I just said that a comic book character's origin was goofy. But I think the general consensus among comic book fans is that Robin should just remain an unspoken part of the Batman mythos. We all know who he is, but most of us are fine with just not doing anything with the character. There are a lot of people to who just loathe the character. They want nothing to do with it at all. So on one hand, I have no desire to watch a show based around the history of Robin.

On the other hand....I remember when I heard about Smallville. I thought to myself, "This is going to be stupid and they're going to ruin Superman." It turned out that Smallville has become one of my favorite shows on tv today. Now granted, I don't like the character of Robin anywhere near the same as I like Superman. So I'm kind of torn on the idea of "The Graysons". I have a feeling that the suits in charge are just going after a young demographic and Robin was the best known character they could use. I also have a feeling that the idea alone of this show is going to drive comic fans away.
