Introducing Microsoft Surface
Everyone that knows me, knows that I'm a Apple/Mac guy. I have been for the past two years or so. I have gone on record as stating that I will never buy another pc again unless its absolutely necessary. Microsoft did surprise me though yesterday with the introduction of "Surface Computing". If you didn't tell me who invented it, I would have guessed Apple. It's that cool. I really cannot wait to test it out. Check out the video below about it and go to microsoft.com/surface for some other videos. I keep thinking about some of the apps that you could use this for. It's endless. Whereas I think Apple is going to revolutionize the cell phone industry with the iPhone, Microsoft might just change the way live away from a desktop with Surface. The only drawback? It's a bit too pricey for anyone right now. Starting prices will be between $5-10,000. Ouch.

Dude. This is awesome looking stuff.(Geek Post)
Monday, May 28, 2007
I have been saying forever that I think it would be smart if certain genres would embrace CGI more. This is a perfect example. This looks great! I wasn't a fan of the last Clone Wars stuff on Cartoon Network. This is so much better looking than that. I kind of wish that they would leave The Clone Wars era and move on to something more people want to see, say post Return of the Jedi or post Episode III. Vader in his prime would be awesome. Man, I would love to see Marvel or DC would do stuff like this. Maybe, they think it will hurt their movies profits or something.

The New Pepsis: The Good, The Bad, and The Japanese
Thursday, May 24, 2007
I'll give Pepsi kudos for creating the new Pepsi Summer Mix drink. It's like Pepsi mixed with with a fruit punch. It's actually pretty good.
This on the other hand is nasty sounding.Only in Japan would they drink Pepsi Ice Cucumber. Ewww!

My seasons and season finales scorecard with opinions
My seasons and season finales scorecard with my opinions.
Here's my score card and opinions so far for the finales and seasons:
Heroes:
C. Great season, bad finale. Please for the love of god, don't drag next season out again like this year. It wasn't worth it. The season finale was such a letdown. They have drug out this season for so long. It started back in August. That's almost 9 months!! This entire time everyone has been expecting this big knock down drag out fight between Sylar and some of our heroes. Well, there wasn't a big fight and it just kind of ended really fast. This whole thing just really pisses me off. They work hard to get people to watch and you work hard to keep up with it and get your friends to watch. They make it so interesting all season long and then when it comes to the ending, they DROP THE BALL. Of course I'm going to watch it next season, but now we know what to expect. Ughhh, i'm so angry about this.
24:
B. Good season. Nothing too special and different than seasons past.
The finale was good. Not great, but good. It was an interesting move with they ended it. No real cliffhanger. Just Jack Bauer looking over a cliff wondering where and what he should now do with his life. To me, it seemed more like a series finale ending than a season finale. What I took from it, is that maybe the producers didn't want to have a cliffhanger in order to start with a clean slate next season. The only real storyline that might carry over would be Chloe's pregnancy. Of course, by next season she would have had the kid. Maybe it was a way to kind of write her character off possibly for next season. I hope they leave LA next year. Only 8 1/2 more months until we find out.
Lost:
Yet to be decided. So far though, I would give the season an A. The only real problem with Lost finales is that you don't know exactly how they'll carry over to the next season. Remember last year when we all freaked out that those guys saw the island on their computer? It took them almost to the end of this season to kind of address that with Naomi's arrival. Too bad we have another 8 1/2 month wait until next season.
Smallville:
B. Is Chloe really dead? Is Lionel dead? How will Clark take care of Bizzaro Clark? It's nice that they are getting further and further away from the Dawson's Creek type shows from previous seasons. This season and last season have been really good. Very Superman'esque type shows. Lots O' Action! As far as the finale goes, it was good, but not great. It was no where as cool as season 4's finale cliffhanger(ended with Clark in the North Pole ready to form the Fortress of Solitude) and last season's cliffhanger(ended with Zod in control of the world). The bad thing with Smallville is that the entire storyline in the cliffhanger will be dealt with and wrapped up by episode 1 next season.
The Office:
A+++. The ending of the finale was great and priceless. No one saw that coming with Ryan the former temp. I am so happy for this show. Never in a million years did I think that this show would become the success that it is. It continues to be funny and never disappoints. I can't wait for 30 new episodes(5 of them will be an hour long) next season. 30 episodes is almost unheard of these days.
Grey's Anatomy:
B. It's been a good year. I haven't been as in to this show this year as I was last year. I can't really figure out why. There were no bad episodes or anything, I just wish the characters would do something a bit different more often. I know that sounds odd, but I'm sick of the Christina/Burke thing, I have seen enough episodes of the Callie, George, and Izzie story, and I have seen enough of the Meredith/Derek story. Just get on with it already with these characters. The finale was good, but it didn't have any good cliffhangers. The storyline I have any interest in is seeing who Lexie Grey is. Don't get me wrong, the show isn't bad and I'm not going to stop watching it, but I think they need to freshen it up a bit with new cast members or something. I thought that Karev's storyline this year was the best because we got to see a different side of him. That's kind of what I want to see. Boy, I sound like a girl talking about that show.
Veronica Mars:
Season as a whole: high C to low B. I don't blame the producers for this one. I blame The CW. They have jerked this show around all year. They still haven't made up their mind on what to do with it. So instead of coming up with a solution, they let the producers make episodes with no idea on where to go with them. Do you make a series finale type season or do you make a cliffhanger type finale? Usually with Veronica Mars, there's a season long mystery for everyone to figure out. This year, they got a half season mystery, then they got pulled off the air while "The Search for the new Pussycat" crap aired, and then Veronica Mars returned with single story type episodes. Currently, Veronica Mars is not coming back next season in the form its in now. It might comeback mid-season in the form of a "4 years later" type show, BUT The CW can't make up their minds. Without Veronica Mars, the only thing on The CW worth watching is Smallville. When that ends(possibly next season), there won't be anything worth watching at all on The CW.
Finally... Battlestar Galactica:
A. Great finale. The producers did such a great job at keeping the ending a surprise. I don't want to ruin it for anyone. I'm hoping to get some friends hooked on it over the summer. Don't judge this show until you watch it. I know at least 3 people that thought it looked dumb and after watching some episodes, they love it. I think being in the sci-fi genre turns people off for some reason.
Season finale's as a whole: B+. Not nearly as good as last year's finales, but good nonetheless.
These are my opinions, but you don't have to take my word for it.(Cue reading rainbow sound)
I know I left some shows off. I can't watch everything, but then that's what the summer season is for!
The Joker has been revealed!
Monday, May 21, 2007
This is absolutely not what I was expecting The Joker to look like The Dark Knight. Talk about a dark version. I thought Harry over at AICN was right when he said that this looks like one of John Wayne Gacy's paintings. I know I would not want to wake up and see that face staring at me!

I don't care what any of the fanboys say,
Transformers looks like a freaking amazing movie!
After watching this new preview, I really want to see it. Watch the Exclusive Trailer/HD Quicktime version. When Optimus Prime transformed and I heard a glimmer of the old transforming sound, I giggled like a school girl! Well, not really, but it made happy.

My Spider-Man 3 Impressions
I saw Spidey 3 last night. Three of my impressions that I'm sure a lot of people are going to have after seeing this...
1. The action sequences are absolutely AMAZING. As good or better than the other films. The Peter/Harry chase and the armored car fight between Spidey and Sandman were great.
2. The story is good. Not great, but good. Yes, too much is crammed in the movie, but I think they realized this is the last one they're doing for a while and they wanted to try and give fans what they wanted. It just comes off as a bit too much.
3. The Sandman CGI is amazing. The scene where he becomes Sandman and becomes to form a man again were visually cool. As far as Venom goes, he looks good considering this is a movie. I really wish he had been the main villain or had the movie to himself.
4. The scene where the Symbiote/meteroite crashes was just odd. I think they could have given a better story of the symbote origin. Instead it's just a random meteorite falling out of the sky that so happened to crash exactly where Peter Parker was. Talking about this scene, leads me to my next point...
4. This movie has some of the most dumb, ridiculous, and badly acted scenes. Seriously, Brandon and I laughed at how stupid some of the scenes were in the movie. The scenes with Harry without a memory are so badly acted by James Franco you can't help but laugh at how unnatural it is. The scene with Harry and MJ in his kitchen just randomly dancing the twist while making an omlett was pointless and stupid looking. The jazz club scene where Peter jumps around, begins playing the piano, and then dancing with Gwen was like a scene out of The Mask.(I agree with the Alex on the Totally Rad Show about that) And finally, the scene with Peter walking down the street checking out the girls and dancing was a joke. It wasn't like the scene in Spidey 2 with Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head.
4. Bryce Dallas Howard does an amazing job at recomfirming how unattractive Kirsten Dunst is. Why was she not cast as MJ in the first place???
Overall, the movie is entertaining and good, but some of the scenes in the movie almost ruin it. I loved the first two Spideys. I watched them multiple times and I remember after seeing each of them for the first time, I wanted to immediately go back and watch them again. This one didn't give me that feeling. The only reason I would want to watch it again would be for the action sequences. I left feeling like this is where they need to stop right now with this series. It's definitely not on the level of Batman Forever or Superman III. It is an great movie, just not as great as the first two. Thats my opinion, but you don't have to take my word for it....(cue Reading Rainbow sound effect. Bah dum DUM!)
