The Dark Knight Trailer....sort of (UPDATED!)

I saw this the other night... I wasn't sold on Heath Ledger as The Joker at first but I'm really starting to dig it now. After seeing this the other night, I am sooo excited to see this. The IMAX footage is really good too. I love how it uses the whole screen and not just a part of the screen like other IMAX converted films. Just like with Batman Begins, it looks like they're trying to take a "real world" like approach to The Joker. I love Heath Ledger's Joker laugh!
This truly is amazing...

Walk Hard and The Cox Across America Tour!!
Saturday night was so much fun....
I got off work around 4:30 and I headed over to Josh's office near downtown(thanks iphone's google maps!). After meeting up with Josh and Jesse, we headed to Green Hills to go see "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story"
Backstory time! I had heard about this screening and concert about a week ago, but the site said it was all sold out. I was totally bummed, but thanks to Jayne at work, I got passes yesterday.
Anyways, We got Green Hills and got in line and waited to get in. After a little while, my friend Napoleon met up with us in line. The movie started around 7:15 and was introduced by Dewey Cox himself, John C. Reilly! He thanked everyone for coming out and encouraged everyone to head over to the concert after the movie.
The movie started....It is hilarious! Another Apatow gem in my opinion. It is full of cameos from people from The Office and other Apatow movies/shows. Jenna Fischer: wow wow wee wa! It's nice to see her in a different role other than Pam. It's also nice to see John C. Reilly be the star in a movie. For so long he's been a "that guy". He's been great in all the roles in his other movies, but he was never the star. I think with Talladega Nights, he found a niche in comedy. It was weird because no one had ever really seen him play that kind of role. I think its great that an actor can go from being in Oscar quality movies like Chicago, The Aviator, Gangs of New York, Boogie Nights, and Magnolia to almost the complete opposite like Walk Hard and Talladega Nights.
After the movie, we quickly left the theatre(we saw Jack White of The White Stripes) and headed out towards Mercy Lounge in downtown Nashville. We made really good time getting there thanks to Josh exceptionally great downtown driving skills(I have never gone that fast in the downtown Nashville area). We found a great parking spot near the swingers club beside Mercy Lounge. We totally avoided the traffic getting in. We got up to Mercy Lounge and there was already a long line to get in. Well, Jesse did some recon work and it turned out that we didn't have to wait in the line. Because we had gone to the movie and had gotten wristbands we could go right in. Everyone else in line had not gone to the movie. We got in and found a great spot up front. We had to have been no more than 5-8 feet from the stage.
Around 9:45, John C. Reilly took the stage as Dewey Cox with his band The Hard Walkers. He played a full set with music from the movie as well as some other songs. He did a cover of Amy Winehouse's Rehab, Eric Clapton's Cocaine, and some other Muddy Waters song. He really is a great live performer. I was pleasantly surprised with how good it really was! Holly Williams joined him for a song from the movie called "Let's Duet" She took the place of Jenna Fischer. Man, that would have been so awesome if she had been there!
I took some pics and videos of the concert portion. They wouldn't let me take my iPhone in the theatre. I played by the full set of rules on this sneak. I didn't use my regal cred to bend any rules for me or anything, thank you very much!
Anyways, it was a great night and I am really grateful to Jayne for giving us the passes.

The Return of a cool breakfast cereal!
Thursday, December 06, 2007
Holy crap, this is soo awesome!! It takes me back to being a kid in the 80's when we used to eat all the cool themed cereals like.....
and
It came with a Batman bank attached to the box!
and
It had 2 different cereals inside!
and
and
and
and even...
But now we can hopefully add this to our breakfast's menus in a few months...
How awesome is that?! It has little skull marshmallows and some other kind of marshmallows in it. This makes me feel like a little kid again. Thanks Kelloggs!
