Some Random thoughts...

I like the banners setup I have(keep reloading for new pictures). It took me a little while, but I got it done. I guess I will try and change out the images every so often. Anyways, I always appreciate feedback and helpful hints if anyone has them.

In other news, Night before last, I got impatient and pre-ordered Halo 3 from BestBuy.com. That means I have to wait until Tuesday morning to go pick it up. In retrospect, I kind of wish I had not preordered it. I think I would have rather either gone to Wal-Mart or Circuit City at midnight to pick up a copy. That way, I have more time to play. I'm such a night owl that I would enjoy playing it through the night while I'm awake than during the day before work while I'm possibly tired. I wish I knew Best Buy's online return policy. Eh well, no big deal really. It's just a video game....that's gonna be freakin awesome especially on a 12 foot projector screen in HD with 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound!!!

Also in other news, Sunday night was officially the beginning of the Fall TV season for me. I got home from work and watched the season premiere of Family Guy. It was an hour long parody of Star Wars: A New Hope and was funny, but not really Family Guy funny. They didn't try to push the envelope or anything like Family Guy has been known to do and it was really tame. I personally think it was because of Lucasfilm. The show seemed to have Lucasfilm's fingerprints all over it. It's kind of hard to explain, but as a Star Wars fan for many years, you notice these things. The Bottom Line: It was ok and I was ready to delete it when I was done. Not worth a repeat for me.

I've watched a little bit of Prison Break here and there over the last two seasons. I've watched and read about just enough to keep up with the overall story. It's not something I really have ever made an attempt to keep up with. The iTunes Music Store has the season premiere for free download(p.s. they have other shows for free download too!). So, I downloaded the premiere and watched while I was waiting to go home from work. It was really good! I added it to my dvr series recordings when I got home. I'll be interested to see if I keep up with it or if I just let it kind of go away like the last two years.

The pilot for Pushing Daisies is online. I didn't really know a whole lot about it, but the guys over at The Totally Rad Show dug it, so I gave it shot. I LOVED IT! The Totally Rad guys described it best. Visually, its like Amelie and Big Fish. It's the story of Ned, a pie maker who can bring people back from the dead. BUT, there are rules to bringing back the dead. He can bring someone back to life if he touches them. Once their alive, he has one minute to touch them again to make them dead again. If he doesn't touch them before a minute is up, then the dead person stays alive and someone in close proximity to the area of the dead person dies. Also, if he chooses to keep a dead person alive, then he can never touch that person again. If he does, they die. All sorts of scenarios play out in the pilot dealing with the rules. I'm not going to spoil any of the story for you. I'll let you watch it to see what all happens. It's from Barry Sonnefeld(Men In Black,Addams Family, Get Shorty). If you have access to a Bit Torrent downloader, then head over to Mininova or BTJunkie and download it.

p.s. It's narrated by Jim Dale who narrated the Harry Potter audio books. He has such a great narrator's voice. I think his narration is one of the key items that makes the show so good.

Nothing much else to report. If I think of something else, I'll blog it.
